What’s Happening in Portland in March

Cider Rite of Spring – March 10, 2018

Cider lovers will have a chance to enjoy over 100 locally sourced ciders from 35 Pacific Northwest cider makers.  The beverages on offer aren’t available locally since they have been made specially for the event or are in limited release.  The event will be held at 101 N Weidler, and tickets are $30.  To buy tickets, and to see a list of participating cidermakers, go to

Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival—Friday, March 9 – Sunday, March 11

In addition to screening several films, POW will have workshops for film makers: Crowdfunding & Social Media Charm School, and The Art of the Pitch.  Screenings will be at the Hollywood Theater, 4122 NE Sandy Boulevard; the NW Documentary Theater, at 6 NE Tillamook; and the Billy Webb Elks Lodge.  All are easily accessible from the Inn at the Convention Center. 40th Annual Shamrock Run – March 17,

It’s still possible to register for the 5K, 8K, 15K and Half Marathon and be part of a Portland tradition.  There is also a Kid’s Leprechaun 1K, which is a great way to get kids physically active and away from the electronics.  The races start at Waterfront Park, near the SW corner of Naito and Pine, only a few stops away.  Our staff will help you with bus and street car routes.  To register, go to

Portland Dining Month –all month long
